Janssen Asia Pacific is transforming the way that people living with mental illness are treated across the region.

As part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, our legacy in tackling some of the most debilitating mental illnesses dates back to the 1950s when our founder Dr. Paul Janssen led the discovery and development of one of the first breakthrough treatments for schizophrenia, haloperidol. Since then we have continued to invest in expanding treatment options, discovering and introducing advanced medicines for Alzheimer’s disease, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression and schizophrenia.

Our research in mental health continues to focus on developing innovative medicines for Alzheimer’s disease, mood disorders and schizophrenia, helping some of the most excluded people in society regain control over their lives. We continue to have one of the largest clinical drug development programs in mental health.

Our commitment to people living with mental illnesses, however, goes far beyond our innovative medicines.

Building on our heritage and capabilities in neuroscience and our culture of networked innovation, the Janssen Asia Pacific Healthy Minds program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at accelerating progress in the fight against mental illness.

The Healthy Minds program recognizes that while rapid advances in science and technology have provided us with unprecedented opportunity and tools to combat mental illness, much more needs to be done if we are to comprehensively tackle these diseases.

Through the Healthy Minds program, Janssen Asia Pacific supports public-private partnerships and collaborations that strengthen health systems, reduces the societal impact and stigma attached to these diseases, and educates the general public and all those involved in the delivery of care to those living with mental illness. By enhancing medical support, driving cooperation and building capacity, Healthy Minds aims to remove barriers that currently limit access to the best possible care.

The Healthy Minds program provides focus in our commitment to both the medical community and patients and in doing so we hope that it serves as a catalyst for change across the entire region. Healthy Minds helps us to deliver our vision for mental health in Asia Pacific. A future we embrace together with the communities we serve, to ensure a stigma-free life with access to optimal care for all those living with mental illnesses.
