If you want to feel fit, you must move regularly. And the same goes for your career. You do that by taking on new challenges or other tasks which correspond to who you are and what you’re good at. The Talent Fit Center coaches Janssen employees who are ready to take that step. The Talent Fit Center helps employees to consider their careers, seek out new challenges, and develop their skills.

Filling your career backpack

Janssen offers its employees the support they need in making career decisions which correspond to who they are, what they want, and what they are really good at. With each new challenge, in a current job, or in a new work environment, something new is always added to your 'career backpack'. Those who consciously opt for their talents also strengthen their personal workability.

Finding the strength and desire to go to work every day with fresh courage are also key concepts of the House of Workability, the central concept in Janssen's personnel policy. This concept comprises all those factors which influence someone’s workability – physical and mental health, talents, standards and values, and expectations at work.

Bolstering talents

The Talent Fit Center guides Janssen employees in uncovering, developing, and utilizing their talents, including through career coaching. An external coach helps them uncover who they are, what they are good at, and what they really want. The internal coach encourages them to take practical action to achieve their personal career goals. Employees, in turn, do their part to enhance their current jobs, find a new position, or bolster their talents.

The coaches encourage them to find a place within the organization which is a perfect fit for them as a person. They emphasize the crucial role that the supervisor plays, because employees need their supervisors when it comes to taking these career steps. Supervisors are encouraged to be completely open to the further growth of their employees. Only in this way can they have full control over their own careers.
