Cardiovascular and metabolic diseases are a major threat to life for adults, accounting for millions of deaths each year around the world. In Asia Pacific, more than 155 million people currently have type 2 diabetes, with 42 percent of the global burden in China and India alone. We are building a comprehensive approach to diabetes care to stem the rising tide of the epidemic in the region.
