GROW Together for Society encourages social innovation

Janssen and Johnson & Johnson in the Benelux have launched the Corporate Social Responsibility programme GROW Together for Society. We want to empower anyone who needs help to develop their full potential in society. We are committed to three areas: encouraging educational opportunities and child care, supporting volunteer aid workers, and widening access to health care.

Janssen and Johnson & Johnson companies aim to offer help here in three ways. Our staff do voluntary work to help a good cause in these three areas. We support many selected agencies financially to help them with their projects. Furthermore, recently, we have launched the ‘Social Grow Sessions’ to encourage social innovation in society.

Creating a social impact

The Social Grow Sessions form a dynamic support programme for (starting) social entrepreneurs and social profit organisations in the Netherlands and Belgium. They are given the chance to develop their idea for creating a social impact into a real business plan. During three sessions over several days, they are assisted by specialists to set out their social business plan and thereby given every opportunity to succeed.

The recruitment campaign to select six Belgian and six Dutch participants runs until 20 June. They will follow the support programme in the months of October, November, and December. We are working together here with the Social Innovation Factory in Belgium and Social Enterprise NL in the Netherlands.

The Social Grow Sessions are organised with the support and help of the Johnson & Johnson Corporate Citizenship Trust. This foundation has the task of developing the Corporate Social Responsibility programmes of Johnson & Johnson and implementing them in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
