Solving the world's toughest problems will not be done by one organization on its own.

I care about Global Goal 17, Partnerships for the Goals. I believe that innovation has the power to change lives and through our work with our partners and stakeholders we see that happen every day. I am always impressed by the impact that collaboration has on progress.

Solving the world's toughest problems will not be done by one organization on its own. Whether it’s public, nonprofit or private. Collective efforts are needed to address challenges such as poverty, education or major health threats. Partnerships between businesses, sectors, governments, academia, civil society plays a key role in addressing today’s challenges in both developing and developed countries.

In Africa there is a saying, 'If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together’. Working together isn’t just slower, it’s often also harder. To make a real difference and to deliver real impact we know that partnerships are critical . We are actively building multi-stakeholder partnerships that mobilize and share knowledge, expertise, technologies and resources to support the achievement of progress in all countries, particularly developing countries.

True partnerships are about shared agendas as well as combined resources, risks and rewards. It is a discovery journey, based on learning, trust and experimentation. That journey requires openness and transparency to build synergies to co-create new and impactful solutions that place people and societies at the center, at the local, national and global level.

In my position at Janssen Benelux, I have the pleasure to work closely with stakeholders and partners who are as passionate as we are about making a real difference. I look forward to more discovery, collaboration and partnerships to address the key challenges we face.
