World Cancer Day

Our mission: beating cancer

Eventually, everyone has to deal with cancer in his or her life: as a patient, or when someone in the immediate vicinity is diagnosed. In Belgium, approximately 186 people every day, receive the news that they have cancer. 1 At Janssen we want to make cancer a treatable and even curable condition. We focus on cancer types that we know best, where we understand the disease processes best and where we can create the greatest added value: these include blood, prostate, bladder and lung cancer.

Our team has one passionate mission: to make cancer a manageable and even curable disease for people.

Victories over cancer

Every day, our colleagues work on new ways to detect, treat or even cure cancer at an early stage. This involves a wide range of activities, including looking for new ways to treat cancer, designing clinical trials to test new drugs, and ensuring that our drugs are produced to the highest quality standards.

On the way to this ultimate goal – a world in which cancer belongs to the past – we are also committed to the small victories that make everyday life with cancer a little better. We book these victories on cancer together with people and organizations that are close to patients and their loved ones.

I work every day to find new ways to better treat patients with blood cancer.
