Today is World IBD Day!

back to Janssen EMEA stories

World IBD Day takes place annually on 19thMay and unites the world in the fight against Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease, also known as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Over 5 million people are living with IBD worldwide and with no cure or known cause, it is imperative to raise awareness of the impact of these conditions on day to day life. World IBD Day is led by patient organizations and coordinated by the European Federation of Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis Associations (EFCCA).

Living well with IBD – Janssen/EFCCA patient support campaign

The Janssen Immunology team is collaborating with EFCCA to produce a series of short animated videos aimed at people living with IBD (and their friends and families) to help address the common issues they routinely face as a result of their condition. You can watch the first video, ‘My IBD Journey: Life after diagnosis’ to understand better how people’s lives are affected by these conditions.
