Recognizing World Arthritis Day

Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), and ankylosing spondylitis (AS). These are just a handful of the more than 150 rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases and syndromes affecting millions of people worldwide.

These conditions can have an intense impact on people’s daily lives as inflammation in the body can cause joints to swell, damage bones and limit mobility to the extent that seemingly simple tasks like opening a door, getting dressed or walking to the mailbox are painful and challenging.  In addition, when left unchecked, diseases like RA can even affect other organs of the body, such as the skin, eyes, lungs and blood vessels.

For nearly two decades, Janssen has been dedicated to advancing science that will improve the lives of those with living with RA, PsA and AS. Our focus for the future is to expand our knowledge in the area of rheumatology and discover new potential targets to better treat, intercept, prevent and cure rheumatic diseases.

Join us today, World Arthritis Day, in showing support for people around the world who are living with immune-related arthritis and recognizing the need for new treatments and cures. Please repost and share messages today from the Janssen Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram to raise awareness as we continue in our mission to create a world free from immune diseases.
