Patient Organisations

At Janssen, patients are at the heart of everything we do.

Working with patients and patient organisations helps us better understand the needs of people living with the diseases and conditions we are committed to help prevent, treat and cure. We collaborate with them, supporting their activities which can assist the understanding and prevention of diseases. We listen to them, so we can deliver medicines, solutions and services that meet patients’ needs. We partner with them, building relationships based on mutual respect, open dialogue, integrity and independence.

These relationships provide us with important information. This information not only helps us to understand how we can best support patients now but also shapes our longer-term research and development programme to ensure we are able to provide the treatments patients need in the future.

It is our goal to ensure that these relationships and partnerships proceed within a principled framework of mutual respect and learning, integrity, independence and transparency.

In Ireland, the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA) publishes a Code of Practice. As a member of the IPHA, Janssen has committed to comply with the Code and to operate in a professional, ethical and transparent manner to ensure that our medicines are used appropriately. You can find more information at www.ipha.ie

We believe open communication about these interactions is good for everyone because it directly addresses public requests for transparency and demonstrates that ultimately these interactions have one goal: advancing medicine and ensuring the best patient care.
