The Journey
1953
Dr. Paul establishes Janssen Pharmaceutica, one of the first independent research laboratories, based in Belgium.
1961
Janssen Pharmaceutica N.V becomes part of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies.
1992
Janssen continues to grow to 34 foreign affiliates and more than 20,000 employees worldwide.
2004
The Dr. Paul Janssen Award for Biomedical Research is created for transformational contributions towards improving human health.
