In 2016, Janssen HK sponsored the B27 Association to produce a short film raising awareness of ankylosing spondylitis (強直性脊椎炎), a long-term inflammatory condition that affects the joints of the spine.
The B27 Association is a non-profit organisation that cares for and supports patients with the inflammatory disease. Patients typically develop symptomatic lower-back or hip pain during late adolescence or early adulthood, but this non-specific pain is often mistakenly attributed to other causes, such as sports injuries.
This short film aimed to engage young people who may have this disease, raise their awareness and encourage early diagnosis and treatment to prevent long-term disabilities.
