Rheumatoid Arthritis

《節弦之痛 Superwoman》– Rheumatoid Arthritis

Organiser: Hong Kong Rheumatoid Arthritis Association (毅希會)

Rheumatoid arthritis (類風濕性關節炎) is an inflammatory condition of the joints that makes it difficult for patients to perform simple tasks such as typing, buttoning a shirt or washing dishes. Many patients have their lives severely disrupted by these challenges.

In 2018, Janssen Hong Kong sponsored the Hong Kong Rheumatoid Arthritis Association to produce a short film to raise public awareness of the disease and its treatment. The Hong Kong Rheumatoid Arthritis Association is a patient organisation that brings people living with rheumatoid arthritis together to care for and support one another emotionally throughout their treatment journey.

The short film, titled ‘節弦之痛Superwoman, highlighted the need for active management of rheumatoid arthritis and demonstrated the value of social support from family members and patient groups. The programme aimed to raise public awareness and reach out to those living with rheumatoid arthritis to help them live a positive and healthy life.
