Our Social Enterprise Commitment

Our Social Enterprise Commitment

At Janssen, we have a deep responsibility to the people we serve, and this extends to our supply chain.  As part of Johnson & Johnson, we are an active supporter of Johnson & Johnson’s Supplier Diversity & Inclusion Programme. The programme has a track record of advancing supplier diversity around the world.

We believe our suppliers should be representative of the consumers and patients we serve. We know that spend with diverse suppliers can have a significant economic impact in the communities in which we live and work by stimulating the economy. In the UK, we are taking a lead role in partnering with social enterprises to bring value. Johnson & Johnson is proud to be one of seven founding partners of the Buy Social Corporate Challenge in the UK, an initiative to promote the use of Social Enterprises in corporate supply chains. In addition, we support minority-owned and women owned businesses as part of our UK programme.

Our UK Ambition

Through our local community impact strategy and efforts, we aim to create sustainable and lasting impact by addressing specific healthcare and societal challenges in the UK. We do this by investing in strategic partnerships and programmes and by empowering our employees to apply their talent for good to support NGOs and organisations with their time, skills and expertise. We want to create lasting impact in the local communities in which we live and work; supporting those at the front line of health care and reducing health inequity.

Our Social Enterprise Commitment

On the Front Line of Health Care

Our priority is to support and champion the people on the front lines who are at the heart of delivering care. Together with our partners, we focus on building and strengthening a robust primary care health workforce – made up of capable, confident and resilient nurses, midwives and community health workers—so that they can provide quality care to the communities they serve, both in the UK and across the globe.

Talent for Good

Talent for Good aims to activate Johnson & Johnson employees at all stages of their career to make a meaningful and enduring impact on society while enhancing their skills and expertise and pursuing their passions. Talent for Good empowers employees to grow personally and professionally by volunteering their time, skills and resources to support local and national partner organisations and help build healthier communities. All Johnson & Johnson employees in the UK can use up to 5 working days per year to donate their time to a volunteering activity.
