Local Community Giving

Within the local communities surrounding our campuses, Janssen will engage in strategic partnerships to improve patient access to treatment and services, advance health equity and strengthen frontline health workforces. Our preference is in support of programs focused on health system improvement with measurable outcomes over fundraising activities.

We will focus our efforts within the areas and communities noted below.

Basic Needs
We support the provision of basic needs, such as housing and food, in the communities where our campuses are located and many of our employees reside. Our support will be directed through partnerships with:

  • Community Foundation of New Jersey (Somerset County, NJ)
  • Princeton Area Community Foundation (Mercer County, NJ)
  • United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern NJ (Montgomery County, PA)
  • United Way of Bucks County (Bucks County, PA)

STEM Education
Our focus on STEM education at the youth, high school and higher education levels is within the communities in which our campuses are located and many of our employees reside (Mercer County, NJ; Somerset County, NJ; Montgomery County, PA; Bucks County, PA; La Jolla, CA; San Francisco, CA).

Health
Our focus on improving the trajectory of human health and enabling health systems change is targeted within the communities that surround our campuses where health disparities are especially great (Trenton, NJ and Philadelphia, PA). Our focus areas for health include:

  • Janssen disease areas
  • Primary health services
  • Maternal and infant health
  • Empowering frontline health workers

Please note – We do not accept unsolicited requests; applications will be on an invitation basis only.
