In 2014, Janssen Asia Pacific established the Specialist Training Alliance for Resistant Tuberculosis (START) initiative to fight multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). We collaborated with the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) to implement a pilot START project to run content-sharing activities following the 45th Union World Conference on Lung Health (UWCLH), which included a series of educational updates to TB physicians in the form of daily expert blogs and live expert interviews. This content was shared on the China CDC website and also through a new mobile app, which was developed by the China CDC to cater to TB physicians in China.
