International Day of Immunology
For the PEACE Within – our commitment to helping people living with immune-mediated inflammatory
diseases (IMIDs) is more important today than ever before.
There are up to 70 million people in Europe living with IMIDs such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, psoriatic arthritis, lupus and ulcerative colitis. These conditions all share a common link – an imbalance in the immune system that leads to chronic inflammation.
At Janssen, we understand the debilitating, physical impact of IMIDs such as pain, fatigue and the inability to perform everyday tasks. We also know that many people living with IMIDs also suffer from stigma, isolation and psychological issues, which are likely to be exacerbated in the current, uncertain environment.
That’s why this International Day of Immunology provides a timely moment to show our support to people living with IMIDs. The PEACE Within represents Janssen’s commitment to supporting people living with IMIDs who have to suffer every day for the rest of their lives. Join us by taking a moment to reach out to those you know living with IMIDs and offer them a virtual helping hand during this uncertain time.
The Janssen Immunology team is dedicated and determined to improve the lives of people with IMIDs. Through our unceasing research, we continue to increase our understanding of the immune system, to discover and develop better medicines, so that one day we will be able to live in a world where IMIDs are a thing of the past.
