Join Janssen In Celebrating World IBD Day 2018

back to Janssen EMEA stories

For the eighth year, the European Federation of Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis Associations (EFCCA) is co-ordinating World IBD Day which aims to “unite people worldwide in their fight against Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis”. World IBD Day is led by patient organisations representing 50 countries across five continents.

At Janssen, we know how important it is that we take action and show support for all those affected by this debilitating disease. Take a look at this video to hear from Kris Sterkens, Company Group Chairman, EMEA, on why this day is a priority for Janssen.

We invite you to join our conversation on Twitter: our first-ever IBD tweetchat will be taking place on the @TalkHealth channel, from 1-2pm CET on Friday 18 May. Follow #TalkIBD and #WorldIBDDay to get involved in the discussion about some of the key challenges and issues faced by people with IBD. Together, let’s start the conversation.

My IBD Journey: Janssen is partnering with EFCCA to develop a series of animations that convey the reality of living with IBD and the impact of the condition. You can watch the animations here.

About Inflammatory bowel diseases:

IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) refers collectively to a group of chronic inflammatory diseases, the most common being Crohn’s disease, which affects the whole of the digestive tract, and ulcerative colitis, which affects only the large intestine.
