Nick Pineda

In his role of Chief of Staff of the Janssen Human Microbiome Institute (JHMI), Nick is responsible for the execution and operationalization of the JHMI strategy. This includes implementing key systems and processes needed to establish a growth portfolio of assets and partnerships, operationalizing strategic R&D capabilities, and recruiting the right team and network to facilitate the Institute’s expansion.

Nick joined from Innosight, a Boston-based innovation strategy consulting firm and long-time partner to Johnson & Johnson. In his previous role, Nick worked with clients in a range of industries including healthcare, professional services, consumer packaged goods, industrial metals and telecommunications. His case work included the design and launch of new and innovative business models, design & facilitation of client workshops and training programs in disruptive innovation theory, and developing transformative growth strategies. Most recently, Nick was part of the core consulting team that supported the strategy design and launch of both the Disease Interception Accelerator and the Janssen Human Microbiome Institute.

Nick received his BS in business from Babson College.
