SHIZOFRENIJA

Na globalnem nivoju shizofrenija prizadene približno 24 milijonov ljudi (8). Samo v Evropi za shizofrenijo zboli približno 3,7 milijona ljudi. Bolezen je po WHO eden izmed glavnih vzrokov za izgubljena leta zaradi nezmožnosti za delo (9, 10).

Brez učinkovitega zdravljenja je shizofrenija kronično in škodljivo stanje, ki lahko prispeva k večji umrljivosti in, še bolj pomembno, ne vpliva samo na življenje bolnika samega (11,12, 13).

V družbi Janssen smo utrli pot razvoju preprostih ter inovativnih oblik zdravljenja za bolnike s shizofrenijo. Hkrati pa še vedno nismo rešili vseh izzivov, ki jih prinaša življenje s shizofrenijo.
